Oscars Estate Agents have seen a hectic house sales market across East Yorkshire over the first few weeks of the year – and our team have been amongst the most successful in taking on new instructions and securing sales.
January is a traditionally busy month for estate agents and it has been no exception for our team in 2019 as we have experienced our busiest month since last summer.
It has seen us arrange close to 200 house viewings on properties we market, whilst taking on a record high of new instructions for house sales since the turn of the year.
Rightmove statistics placed Oscars at the top end of the leader board for new instructions and viewings over the month.
Managing Director Alisdair Bott-Francis said: “We generally see a lot of inquiries once Christmas and the New Year is over, and that accounts for a very busy January for many estate agents.
“However, even taking that usual surge into account it has been a fantastic start to the year.
“We have had close to 200 viewings in the month and not far off 500 people register with us because they are in the market looking for a new home in the county.”
Oscars in top 10 of agents for East Yorkshire house sales agreed in January
“January was our busiest month since July last year, and based on the statistics from Rightmove we have performed in the top 10% of all agents in East Yorkshire for instructions, and for sales agreed we are in the top 10 for all agents operating across the county.
